Assuming the “lovers’ scissors” position immediately upon awakening, may require a “soft entry” if the man does not have a firm erection. Soft entry means the man or woman inserts the relatively soft penis into the vagina using their hands. First wet the penis and vagina with saliva (which is very slippery) or a lubricant (preferably water-based or silicone-based). If there are no erectile dysfunction issues, the man will usually gain a partial or full erection very quickly once soft entry is accomplished.

Sideways – “The Lovers’ Scissors”

The “lovers’ scissors” is our morning meditation together, but you can do it at any time of day or as a meditation at bedtime. We sleep nude, usually curled up like spoons, and immediately upon waking assume this loving posture, holding it for anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending upon how much time we have. Used in this way, the “lover’s scissors” is not actually considered a sexual position, but rather a loving energy meditation. Although there is genital connection, this meditation is not intercourse for sexual arousal—there is no active thrusting or drive to complete an orgasm. It is for balancing your masculine and feminine energies and connecting emotionally and spiritually with your lover.

Sideways Sexual Intercourse Positions

Sideways positions are generally well suited to circulating and sharing sexual / spiritual energy between lovers. These positions tend to be gentler, slower, and quieter. Although perhaps less stimulating than other positions, such as opposites, they can be powerfully emotional. Many lovers find that they feel their hot sexual energy moving most easily during times of relative stillness.
