From time to time, I like to put my wedding band on my penis, just over the shaft.  It feels good and I want to make love to my wife with it on.  I kind of think it is romantic. What do you think?

ANSWER

I would not recommend putting your wedding band onto the shaft of your penis. As the penis enlarges the fit of the ring will become very tight, quite likely extremely tight. As you lose yourself in pleasure, you may not realize how tight it is, and this could cause serious injury to the erectile tissue in the areas where the ring is located. Such damage is not reversible, and the result could be a deformed erection. Another issue is that the ring could actually slip off and be deposited into the vagina. This is not likely to be dangerous (there is nowhere for it to go and it cannot enter the cervix), but if you forget or don't notice that the ring is in the vagina, and she goes to the bathroom, it could then fall out and be lost in the toilet.
