FLOATING LIGHTS

Candles are one of the most useful aids for creating your own romantic rituals and celebrations, for remembering loved ones you cannot be with right now, or for healing the separation between enemies.

Time for Exercise: 10 minutes

Properties Required: a number of small candles (birthday candles are about the right size), the same number of small flat-bottom paper bags, the same number of small paper plates, and one or more larger candles for dripping wax onto the inside bottoms of the bags to attach the smaller candles.

Steps:

1.Open the paper bags. Use the larger candles to drip wax into the paper bags. Secure one birthday candle upright inside of each paper bag. Place each bag onto one of the paper plates.

2.When all the bags and candles are ready, light the candles one at a time

3.Set the plate afloat in a tub, pool, lake or river, while saying a dedication to a friend or loved one, speaking aloud words of encouragement for a cause you are committed to, or offering amnesty to an enemy.

4.Silently watch the floating lights carry your message, wish, and energy out into the universe.

Variations:

Ceremony for integrating the 4 Freedoms: Body, Mind, Heart and Soul

Use four candles, bags, and plates. Prepare them by following the above instructions. As you light each one, read together the statements you have prepared in advance, dedicating a light to each of the 4 Freedoms. Here are examples of what you could say for each of the 4 Freedoms:

4 Freedoms Integration Exercise (5): Dream Time

INTEGRATION EXERCISES
Exercises To Do On Your Own

DREAM TIME

Not only can you remember your dreams and interpret their meaning, but you can also influence dreams with your intention through conscious dreaming. This exercise focuses on the first part of conscious dreaming, setting a theme for your dreaming before you go to sleep. (The second part of conscious dreaming is to participate actively in the dream while the dream unfolds, but that is beyond the scope of this exercise.)

Time for Exercise: three minutes

Properties Required: pen and paper

Steps:

1.Choose a question you want answered, or an issue about which you want guidance.

2.Write your choice on a piece of paper.

3.Before you go to sleep, read your question.

4.Place the paper under your pillow.

5.Hold your question in your consciousness as you drift off to sleep.

Comments:

If you wake in the night with insights, write them down immediately. Alternatively, write down any insights as soon as you wake up. Write them down even if they don’t seem to make any sense at the time. Allow what you have written and what you can remember to percolate through your consciousness over the next day or two. Often you will grasp exactly what needs to be done.

4 Freedoms Integration Exercise (3): Leap of Imagination

 INTEGRATION EXERCISES
Exercises To Do On Your Own

LEAP OF IMAGINATION

Beliefs are extremely powerful but not supremely powerful. There is something more powerful than belief. Otherwise no one could ever transcend their limited beliefs and become unstuck. Your imagination is more powerful than your beliefs only if used in a particular way. The process is simple.

Time for Exercise: five minutes

Properties Required: none

Steps:

1.Pick an image of the end result you wish to create. If your end result is complex, use a visual symbol to represent it.

2.Be aware of your current situation, especially any existing negative beliefs that might be limiting your vision.

3.Make your limiting beliefs part of your “starting from” picture.

4.Compare your “end-result” picture with your “starting from” picture.
