Changing the atmosphere of the room where you are going to make love brings magic to your union. It helps elevate regular sex to extraordinary and sacred sex.

Time for Exercise: 15 minutes

Properties Required: candles, romantic music, plants or fresh flowers, beautiful pieces of fabric, tasty eats and drinks, incense, sensual objects

Steps:

  1. Make sure the room is tidy—floor swept, laundry out of sight, surfaces dusted.
  2. Together, in silence, with your attention focused on making your space beautiful and safe for each other, move slowly and purposefully to arrange the room.
  3. Cover hard edges and objects you don’t want to see—for example a TV set—with soft fabrics.
  4. Arrange plants, flowers, and beautiful objects around the room.
  5. Light candles or change regular light bulbs to red, pink, or magenta bulbs.
  6. Set close to hand any massage oils, lubricants, or sex toys you might want to employ.
  7. Light incense or heat essential oil diffusers for sensual aroma.
  8. Turn on your mood music.
  9. Bring in special food and drink treats for sharing with your lover.
  10. When you’ve arranged the space to your satisfaction, stand side by side, hold hands, and appreciate the transformation of your room.
  11. Look into each other’s eyes and softly invite each other to play in your sacred space (see Permission Please).
