Happiness – Soul Freedom (Part 7 of 7)
When you enter into a committed relationship with another human being, vowing a covenant with each other, you take a giant step in reclaiming your Soul Freedom. Happiness becomes free of the chains that bound it to the circumstances of your life. Your happiness is no longer dependent on whether your life situations are going well or badly. Such is the experience of transcendence that accompanies the embrace of Soul Freedom.
Embracing Soul Freedom keeps the longest-term relationship interesting, stimulating, ever-evolving, changing, and growing. Cultivating Soul Freedom helps carry you through difficult times in your relationship. Your body is easily damaged, your head is easily confused, and your heart is easily wounded, but soul hangs in there through thick or thin, through the ups and downs, for better or worse.
To allow Soul Freedom to flourish in your relationship:
Unlearn
I act according to the dictates of my emotions or the dictates of my mind.
Learn
I listen to my higher self (Soul) for direction and guidance.
Unlearn
Spirituality is separate from the rest of my life—from sex, from work, from shopping, and so on.
Learn
My whole life is a meditation. Our relationship is a spiritual practice and our lovemaking is a sacrament.
